Al Wathba Building Contracting was founded in 1989, specialising in construction with a clear goal: to build a respected reputation as a leading company in the field — grounded in integrity, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Our aim is to deliver every project on time and within budget, with the flexibility to adapt to our clients’ changing requirements, while keeping a strong focus on quality and safety.

We are proud to have carried out more than 400 projects, spanning a wide range of building types — towers, mosques, commercial and residential buildings, private villas, and malls — for clients across both the private and public sectors.

From a Sharjah office to three Emirates.

From a single Sharjah office in 1989 to a contractor working across three emirates — the milestones, the standards adopted, and the record built along the way.

    The founding

    Founded in Sharjah

    Dr. Eng. Bashar Samha establishes Al Wathba Building Contracting in Sharjah — a private, family-owned construction business built on integrity, performance, and customer satisfaction.

  2. 1999
    Across the Emirates

    Expansion into Dubai

    The practice expands into Dubai to take on new projects there, while continuing to deliver across its home base of Sharjah and neighbouring Ajman.

  3. 2015
    Certified to standard

    ISO 9001 certified

    The quality management system is independently certified to the ISO 9001 standard — formalising the processes behind every project, from tender to handover.

  4. 2016
    A proven record

    400 projects delivered

    More than 400 completed projects handed over — towers, mosques, schools, social clubs, warehouses, malls, and private villas — for both public- and private-sector clients.

    Where we are now

    A contractor at scale

    Around 1,150 people and 100+ units of plant and machinery, with quality, environmental, and health & safety systems all certified — and some US$3 billion of work delivered since 1989.
